I was the public relations chair and photographer for my organization
called Dreamz NYC. We were a org at Buffalo State College that gave students a platform to express themselves through the arts. Dreamz NYC offered a platform for musical artists to present their work. Also, we also had our clothing line called Dreamz NYC as well and gave modeling oppunity to students to be in our spring semester fashion shows. Which Buffalo State College is the only SUNY with a fashion and textile major. As the public relations chair I had to promote my org at every event. I always had a merchandise on at all times. I enjoy welcoming and getting to know different people. I got good practice with my pitching skills.
My first retail job was in uniqlo soho in spring and summer in 2018. One of the biggest stores if not the biggest with 3 floors bringing in out 100,000- 200,000 in revenue everyday at that time. It was very fast moving environment. I have worked the registar, helped customers with outfit choices, maintained the sales floor, hosted fitted room. Working there for 3 months, 6 days a week I could retail everywhere eles. Became a fan uniqlo when my jobs was over because the structure of the company was solid. I aquired alot of disipline in the work place because they had a high standard.
I also worked in the GAP in Merrick in july 2020 it was alot slower but, I had more time to focus and cater to the customers. I was easy to sell the my merch I been wearing gap all my life. Always got good feedback from customers. With this job I had to work on my pitches to get GAP credit cards. My goal was get at least to 3 in week. I hit my goal like 75% of the time.
